Found a fix for my home. Had to sacrifice the Green wire (Fan) and use
it as the Common wire ("C"). Moved the green wire from "G", on the nest
base, to "C". Then on the panel on the furnace unit, moved the green
wire "G", on the furnace panel, to "C"...
I also have the exact wiring as @sailorshinde . All aspects of the
thermostat work, fan, cooling, and heat. No issues there, just low
battery and not charging. Thanks in advance for any help
