Google Nest Community

It hot here - thus am giving up. I called my heating guy, returning the nest and having an Ecobee installed tomorrow AM.

I have a left over wire - Brown 'E' and no where to put it. The Google Nest only has 6 wiring slots.What turned on - I get a Error code : E294 - no R - yet it is definitely connected. Any ideas? Thank you , Brian

 my system is a heat pump for AC and cooling with emergency heating. Is this compatible woth Google nest. Also , I wonder if I don't need the learning version as with a heat pump you don't want the temptation vary that much.

There is no option to upload a photo. Is there an email address I can send the pick to? No option to add a photo when replying to a current message.
