I have a second generation Nest Thermostat which does not seem to be always switching to Away when nobody is at home. This is very wasteful of energy. Is there anything I can do or is it something to do with the sensors on the thermostat?

I have a second generation thermostat. Recently the Home/Away activity log is not recording. It says "No events" even when there has been activity. It still switches from Home to Away (& Vice versa) when somebody is at Home or Away. How do I fix this...

Does anybody know whether Google looks at the community posts. I need to know whether the thermostat needs replacing as the sensor seems not be working properly. I assume that nobody has had a sensor problem with the latest thermostats?

Definitely not. Although I am not there, everytime I switch on the sensor it reverts to Home. It has only started to do this in the last few days

Thank you for your message. For Security reasons we just have the postcode which is the only field required. Hope this answers your question

Sorry for the delay. No there are no warning signs or errors. It sometimes switches to Away sometimes it does not. I can't discern any pattern.
