Hi, ive had a 3rd gen learning nest for 10 months, all has worked perfectly.last week i got the W5 error code, rebooted unit, it couldnt find wifi, reset wifi, it couldnt find wifi, manually input wifi name and password…it didnt connect.phoned google...

Im afraid the only solution is to move to an alternative product. These devices have never had a software or hardware update, the issue we all experience hasn't been resolved. I moved to Hive (in the UK) some 15 months ago… never had an issue since. ...

Did this a while ago on Amazon, but still people buy it… amazed Amazon still sell it if I'm honest, but i guess the hardware/software problems don't manifest themselves until outside Amazons warranty period… still got a Hive… still no regrets !! Good...

The 2 units i had never worked again. They will remember their existing on / off settings, but will never bond with wifi again. The software has never been updated, so even new units are coming out with this known problem.

Good luck, i got no where, repeated request for assistance, offer of a 2nd replacement device - that never came either, so bought a Hive, and been plain sailing ever since
