Yep, broken for us as well on all 3 devices (1 Home, 1x Gen 1 Mini and
1x Gen 2 Mini). At most we get a "beep" but no message. I do wish Google
would stop breaking this basic functionality.
Managed to get this sorted after 3 days - the solution to fix the 3
Google devices which were having problems but no other device in the
household (PCs, phones, Alexas) were having: reboot the router
(twice[!]).Please have more descriptive error mess...
We've been having this problem with our Google Home and 2x Google Home
