There was a crime in front of my house last night. Since it did not
register as an "event" there is no way to capture that video so I can
send it to the police. This is a must have with cameras. Please change
this.
I will do that EmersonB but just so you know. Someone set my car on
fire. I can see the video footage but have no way to retrieve it for the
police. The Nest app did not have that limitation. Quite honestly this

It really makes no sense. The Nest app did all of the things I needed.
Why keep us from using functions that are known to work? Now I have no
way to tie the footage I have to the police report and soon it will be
completely inaccessible.
