I would like to set my nest thermostat to 45 degrees on schedule at
night, and then turn on automatically in the morning.However, the Google

While 'eco' does allow the thermostat to be set < 50 degrees, we have
found that every night around 4 AM the thermostat will set the
temperature up and turn on the furnace even though there is no scheduled
setting, and the Nest appears to need to be ...
Nevermind ... found the answer in reddit. It seems the only setting,
custom or pre-defined that allows you to set < 50 degrees F is 'Eco',
which appears to let me go down all the way to the 'Safety'
