Let's face it, the update "bricked" the device. I highly doubt that any
classical solution can solve it. The only way ti solve the issue would
be to have the "un-bricking" procedure, if it exists at all.
The only solution is to throw all Google devices in the trash and buy
Alexa devices. there will be millions of devices that have become paper
clips and don't care. Google is completely unreliable.
