I ended up just buying a Google Nest Mini and it does the job just fine
(announcing people and packages at the front door etc.) Still would
prefer Alexa integration, but fine for now.
Thank you SON, I have the same question: I set up the new Next Doorbell
(battery) and very disappointed to find out that it won't work with my
Alexa devices. My TWO Nest thermostats work great with Alexa -- why not
the doorbell!!??
