My wife had our grandson install a gen 3 thermostat. now when the
auxilary heat comes on from our heat pump there is a burning smell and
the smoke alarm goes off so I flip the breakers off to be safe
Had the the system completely checked out yesterday and it was given the
green light. No issues found. He made a change to the nest thermostat of
when the auxiliary heat will kick on but said that is just a preference
for each individual. Hoping that...
