It seems Google has a problem with the latest update. But my situation is slightly different. Trying to do the Update it changes after a while and states „Network Problem“. But mine is Chromecast 3. Generation. Reset and rerboot doesn‘t help.

I have the same problem, it hangs at 0% while updating.
