Chromecast question ‘Are you still watching’?

On regular basis I am asked a pop up wuestion ‘Are you still watching’? if I respond yes nothing happens and pop up doesn’t disappear.if I ask no the channel closes down and I have to start again.why doesn’t responding yes work?thanks
