Nest 3rd Generation connecting to Google Home: Won't provide the code !!!!

Hello,I have the 3rd generation and it worked great for years with the NEST app... now it says I must connect with Google Home... which I downloaded on my IPhone . when trying to "add device" it shows me how to use the thermostat to get its "Code"......

Apple Nest App started 2 form verification but WONT send the email with the code to log in!!!!!

Been using Nest since 2012 with no issues. but now, they require the log in to be verified when using the IPhone APP... but NOT on my laptop.... often I set the temperatures when coming home from work and this issue is very frustrating. I researched ...
