I have the 3rd generation and it worked great for years with the NEST app... now it says I must connect with Google Home... which I downloaded on my IPhone . when trying to "add device" it shows me how to use the thermostat to get its "Code"... but the thermostat WONT provide the code? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you...!!!!

Hi SkipH,
Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd gen is not connecting to the Google Home app and is not providing the code, but there is no need to worry; I'm happy to assist you right now.
The Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd gen was created to be paired just with the Nest app. You will be able to view your Nest devices in the Google Home app once you Migrate your Nest account to a Google Account; the Nest app will still be used to configure and manage your Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd gen after you move.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.
Regards,
Gabriela

Gabriela, all the temperature sensors I had connected in my house NO LONGER show up on the nest app... and When I tried to load some of them, it would allow me saying that they belong to another account. Very very frustrating. Thanks for any help or advices...

Gabriela, I rebooted all temperature sensors by taking the batterie out and letting them stand for an hour... At this point, then Nest app is recognizing them after I added them one by one.. so I am now ok.. Hope I don't have lots of problems if I upgrade to Nest 4th Generation.. thanks for all your help and advice... Skip
