Half of us have done a factory reset so our device isn't listed on our app anymore.

Gen 2U.S.Factory reset Chromecast, rebooted wifi & all other connecting devices. At least before the reset I had the nice picture & the time. Now it just says get the app I already have and then won't authenticate.
