Wait! I turned off my wifi, changed the date manually to March 7, turned Wi-Fi on. Set up Chromecast and still not working. What did I miss?

Interesting, cuz I bought 1 off Marketplace on Monday and it's still working..maybe it's just a matter of time before it stops
