chromecast is turning LG TV on off on off

Hi,i've been using this fine for >2yrs without issue. Now for about 2months it turns my (non-smart) TV on off on off.I have factory reset the googleTV and it is fine for about a minute, then back to cycling the TV on off on off.I remove the chromecas...
