My nest thermostat is not charging at the base. I called for an HVAC company to take a look at it. They said the wires are connected correctly. Please help. It's been a cold winter and a nightmare coming home to a freezing house.

My nest won't stay charged. I have to take it out and charge it every 3 days so that it's on. Software 6.2-22 Model 3.4
