I installed the Nest Thermostat and the furnace is running fine. However, I've read that the Nest Learning Thermostat is "more" compatible with a variable speed furnace which I have. What am I losing, if anything, by not using the Learning Thermostat...

Thanks for the info. I’m going to install the Learning thermostats on one of my zones and see if it makes any difference w/r/t the variable speed on my furnace blower/fan. If not, I’ll reinstall my regular Nest and return the Learning one.

There is a QR code (image) on the reverse side of the thermostat that you scan into the Nest app (or Google Home app) when it prompts you to do that in the setup process.
