Could be, but if they fail to fix this and transparently communicate, I will not buy any Google hardware anymore.

The ability to downgrade to Android 12 would also take some of the pressure off, but this is a real pain if you bought the Chromecast to watch H.264 video streams and you're left with a useless device.
