Since Google still haven't bothered to fix this I'm switching to a Fire Stick. They're on sale now in the UK, don't know about everywhere else.

I personally would never spend that much on a streaming box. Anyway it looks like they've figured out what's causing the issue (going by the latest edit) so hopefully we get a fix soon

Yes. Thomson boxes from Amazon UK are good too. They're rebranded versions of the US Onn boxes I believe.

I've seen the Mi Box S 3rd Gen recommended a lot. Can be purchased from AliExpress.
