It is still a temporary solution because you still need to buy a
replacement battery every year or so. There is supposed to be a better
way. Considering the time and effort you put in this, many people prefer
a battery with longer life like 4-5 years...
To be precise, the Nest Mini Smart Speak with Assistant has a 30 second
refractory period in between rings & announcements. I wish there should
not be any refractory period, but it is OK compared to human being's

Found a temporary solution for myself today. It works well without shuts
off.1. Turn Chime off from app.2. Turn Visitor Announcement on. 3. Use
Nest mini smart speaker with assistant, which works as a door bell and
announces someone is at the door.
