Seems to highly suggest they're intentionally hobbling their hardware to
force people into their new subscription model. It's a shame because I
love the hardware but unless there's a satisfactory fix it'll be the
last Google device I buy, phones incl...
I'm considering this Google-speak for 'we don't care if you leave our
ecosystem'. I'm going to happily oblige them. Some other company will
get my subscription and data
