All devices missing from home app

All of a sudden when I go into the home app on my phone none of my devices are listed. It’s treating me like I’m setting up my account from scratch.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues that you're having with the Google Home app, I'm sure it's confusing, but I'm happy to look into this for you. 

 

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app? What other troubleshooting steps have you taken?

Yes, thank you for double checking.  I realized at some point I switched my phone over to a different google account.  Once I switched it back, I had my list of smart bulbs and devices back.  

Now my problem is that periodically my smart bulbs stop responding to the Home  app.  But that has always happened on and off, seemingly for no reason.  Is that something you’re familiar with? Not sure if that’s a GE smart bulb issue or Google Home app issue.  Sometimes it’s resolved by resetting the bulbs with the method of turning them on and off multiple times, but sometimes not.

Hey there, 

Glad to hear that things are working now. In regards to the lights issue, it depends on the different manufacturers even though I know that there have been some issues with this with different lights. I have sent this feedback to our team and they would like anyone with lights issues to send feedback through the Google Home app using the keyword, "#Lights" and a short description of what is happening.
