All google home device "offline" despite functioning network

ibarbash

I have google home app (2.56.1.11) and google nest wifi network working for a year now.

I recently added google chromecast TV to Home app and since then (related or unrelated) - all devices in my Home app show up as offline (see images).

Importantly - the connection to internet via all google wifi points works OK !! Its just that there is no access to the various devices in home app via the app.

I have tried to shut down my router and main nest wifi point but with no resolution.

This problem is both on my ios and android devices.

Anyone can help with that issue?

Thank you!

Really strange behaviour indeed.  Can you try signing out of your account in the Google home app, clear the cache for the app and force close it.  Check for any updates, then open the app and sign back in and see if that clears the issue?

Thank you for the prompt response

these steps you suggested did not solve the issue

however I just realized that when I use a non-google Wi-Fi network - the home app functions better

Hey there,

Ashepherdson, thanks for the assistance.

ibarbash, could you confirm if IPv6 is enabled on your device. If so, ask the customer to disable it or toggle the switch to off. Also, try rebooting your phone.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Alex

Hey ibarbash,

Chiming in - to confirm, have you tried reaching out with Google WiFi support so they can also check some settings on your router? Also, please make sure that mobile data is off on your phone.

Cheers,

Muddi
