Best Alternative to Nest Cameras - that don't log you out every minute

Given the responses from Nest/Google regarding the constant frustration of being logged out every minute - I am looking to replace my entire setup. I don't like being gaslighted by customer service like "Brad" in the other threads on this issue. 

Their response has been to blame users and devices when they know it's an issues and plainly can't be bothered. I can move elsewhere and get poor service for less money. Nest has become a joke and they know it. Camera innovation has been incredibly slow and their software is awful and clearly not supported for bugs. 

Total waste of time. Recommendations welcome. Equally if anyone has fixed this issue - it is also welcome. Responses from Nest telling me to update my phone... are not.

Thanks for posting here in the community. We know where you're coming from and we'd like to know what you mean when you say that you're being logged out every minute. Are you referring to the Nest app or Google Home app? Does the app always ask you to sign in every time? Also, your concern about us recommending an alternative camera, we can't recommend any other brand because we're not trained with them and we hope that you understand that. Let us know if you have more questions in mind.

Hi there,

it’s the nest app. It asked to sign in every few seconds it just signs out and then sometimes signs back in automatically and then sometimes you have to sign in manually all over again. It’s a very well reported fault so there is no point asking these questions. Just fix it. The app and service that people pay a lot of money for is flawed and Google can’t be bothered to do anything about it.

Thanks for getting back to us. I know that this hasn't been easy for you. Could you tell us what other troubleshooting steps you've done so far? Just in case you didn't do it yet, I would recommend you to reinstall your Nest app. Also, just to isolate the issue try using a different mobile device and sign in your same Nest account. You may also try your web browser and go to https://goo.gle/2qjvVSU sign in with Nest and update us here in this thread.

Hi there, I’ve not replied as you’ve responded in the same way as the other numerous threads about this topic. It’s a problem with your app, on all platforms on many devices. Your dev team know there is a fault but have said it is not a priority to fix. Stop putting the onus on users to report stuff you know is useless and then try and shut down a community thread that is here for others to discuss. It’s not a support ticket that needs shutting down. It’s a community thread for others with the same issue to discuss if they want.

Push your devs to do some work and then you can close down these types of conversations.
