I suddenly can’t add any new devices to my home. The device has been added to third party platform (Smart Life) that is linked to Google Home. I have a few other devices in smart life that have been successfully added to Google home. However, since the latest update, I’ve added new devices in smart life that “appear” in Home but can’t be added to my home. When I try adding them to my Home and room in google, “next” button is inactive after I “Choose my Home”
any fixes for this? The two new devices are just living at the bottom of the page for my devices in Google Home but can’t actually be added to the home to complete automations etc.

I have the same issue. The work around is
1) settings
2) Services > Works with google
3) select your service > check new devices
follow the prompts, it will allow you to move to the room.
The other way you mentioned does indeed not work currently

Have you tried reconnecting the Smart Life app to the Google home app?

Yup - the devices are “appearing” in Google Home after I set them up in smart life. You know how devices “appear” in Google home when you add them on in third party apps already linked to Google Home. However, I can’t add them to my Home Network and choose a room or automations within Google home. Oddly, there are many other devices from Smart life that are working perfectly fine for years except the two I just added today. Could this be a bug after the latest Google Home update?

Hi @HamlynMuse,
Thanks for posting in the community. I understand you're having difficulties adding your devices to the Google Home app. They appear, but can't be added as the "Continue" button is inactive, even though you've successfully added them using the Smart Life app. No worries, I'd be glad to help you. To better support you, I have a few questions for you:
@SmartHomeH-TAGS, thank you for your help!
Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.
Regards,
Jonathan

thanks very much @sicsacol. much appreciated so far!
1. the devices are Breville Smart Air Purifiers (2 of them). They’ve worked in Google in the past. In fact, there is one working fine in my Google network already.
2. Google home version 3.32
3. No errors. Just “next” button inactive
4. iOS

I have the same issue, while trying to add 2 SPC climate controllers. I have three and the first which I added on Sunday works just fine. Today I connected the other two, but I can’t join them to my home.
any help appreciated

Hi @Zmei2015,
Thanks for posting. I understand you're having difficulties adding your two SPC climate controllers to the Google Home app, as your devices can't join your home, even though your other devices are working fine. No worries, I'd be glad to help you.
Could you please provide the answers to the questions I asked in my previous response? The details you share will help me investigate the cause of the problem.
Please keep me posted.

Sure, here are the answers:
1) 2 SPC Climate Controllers
2) Yes, I have one SPC Climate Controller that is linked to "my home". These, are also identified in google home, in the "linked to you" section, and I can turn them on and off from google home app, but I cannot add them to "my home"
3) 3.32
4) IOS
In the mean time, and this will help your troubleshoot, this only happens on IOS. I tried in a older android tablet that I have, and it worked just fine (and replicated correctly to the IOS version).
