You used to be able to start a routine and select multiple devices to turn off at once. Given my home has over 80 things, this was great. Now I don't bother making any routines anymore because I can't select the 9 lights in my room at once. I have to spend over 15 minutes to do something that took 15 seconds.
My workaround was to say "Turn off everything" as a custom command, and it would turn off every single device in my home. Now I get presented with this:
What gives? Why are we changing this? This is stupid. Now I have to create 10+ custom commands to say "Turn off the living room", "Turn off the bedroom", etc etc.
Why do you keep making things worse to automate??
This is not the experience we wanted you to have, let me help you. A few things: which Nest speakers and 3rd party smart devices are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?
It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:
Once done, check all the devices that are in each room you created and control each room via voice command.
Let me know how it goes.
Totally understand that troubleshooting can be a little out of the way, but these are the most helpful steps to figure out what's going on with your device and its routines. Let's give them a try!
Also, to isolate further, without the routine command, are you able to turn off all your lights just by giving a basic command? Here are examples:
Tell me how it goes.
