Cannot Add Family to Google Home

When I attempt to add someone to my Google Home I use my regular personal Gmail account, open the Google Home app and follow the these step:

  1. Switch to the home you want to share.
  2. At the top, tap AddInvite home member Invite person.
    • If you don't find "Invite home member," tap Add person to home
  3. Enter the name or email address of the person you want to invite to your home 

     

    tap Next.
  4. Review what’s shared when you add someone to your home 

     

    tap Next.
  5. Review the person’s access to your home 

     

    tap Send.
  6. If your Google Family Group isn’t full and the person you’re inviting isn’t already in one, you’ll get the option to invite them to your Google Family Group.
    • To invite them, tap Add to Family.
    • To skip this step, tap No Thanks.

When I go thru the steps of adding a family member, the invite is always sent back to the myself (owner). When I click the “view invitation” link it states “this link can’t be used”.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem.

When I add person & email and press next nothing happens.

Hi GarrettDS I am still experiencing this issue.  Keep trying to add my wife to the "home".  I put in her email, press next and NOTHING happens.  (Android version of HOME app on Pixel 6 Pro)
