Cannot connect Xiaomi Home and Empty Linked Apps

AnakSolomon

I'm currently experiencing difficulties connecting my Xiaomi Rice Cooker to the Google Home app. While the device works perfectly fine in the Xiaomi Home app, it fails to appear in my Google Home dashboard. Although it indicates that the Xiaomi Home is linked, the rice cooker itself is not showing up. I have other smart devices that are compatible with Google Home, and they are functioning without any issues.

I attempted to unlink the Xiaomi Home from my Google Home account in hopes of resolving the problem. However, I encountered another issue: when I navigate to my Linked Apps section, it appears empty. The message displayed says, “No partner apps linked to this home,” even though I do have other apps like Nethome Plus, SmartThings, and Lasco successfully connected to Google Home, which are all operating smoothly.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving these issues as soon as possible. Thank you!

Hi AnakSolomon,

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us.

I understand that you're having trouble linking your Xiaomi Rice Cooker to the Google Home app. I appreciate the important information you've shared, as well as the troubleshooting efforts you've tried to resolve the inconvenience. Additionally, I see that your linked apps section now appears empty, yet the devices in the other apps are working smoothly. No worries, help is here.

To better assist you, I would appreciate it if you answered the following questions:

  • Is your Google Home app updated?
  • Is your mobile device updated?
  • Can you double check if you are signed in to the Google Home app with the same Google account as your devices are linked?
  • Is this the first time you will link your Xiaomi Home account to the Google Home app?
  • Is your mobile device connected to the same WiFi band as your Xiaomi Rice Cooker?
  • What region does your Xiaomi Rice Cooker come from?

In the meantime, if you have multiple "Home structures," please check if you can find the Xiaomi Rice Cooker. You can follow these steps:

  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Tap "Favorites," then tap the name of the current “Home.”
  • Select a new “Home” from the drop-down. If the drop-down icon doesn’t appear, it means you only have one “Home” in the Home app.

  Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Virna
