Cant login to Nest App on my Sony tv

Just converted my Nest account to Google.  I loaded the Nest app on my Sony Android TV.  I'm getting an error message that my credentials aren't correct, but I know they are as I'm using the same Google account on my phone and other devices.

In checking the review for the Nest App this seems to be a common issue.  What is the status of this and when is Google / Nest going to fix it??

Google lists this as something that is not supported after migration, unfortunately.

Once you migrate your account, you'll no longer be able to use the Nest app on Apple TV or on Android TV.

Google took a great product in Nest and has destroyed it with terrible technical support, loss of functionality and sleazy requirements to share personal information for Google to monetize.
