Cookies Not Enabled on iPhone

After years of using the Nest mobile app on an iPhone, I’ve now suddenly been logged out and am unable to log back in. 

I receive an error saying “Your browser has cookies disabled. Make sure your cookies are enabled and try again.”

However, I’ve enabled cookies on all browsers. It looks like several others have run into this with no resolution.

I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling, updating firmware, powering off & on, turning cookies off and back on, using wifi only, using cellular only, and everything else I could find online. It just simply does not work on my iPhone anymore.

It works on my spouse’s iPhone with the exact same settings. It works on my iPad with the exact same settings. 

 

What else can I try? Is this a known issue?

I'm so sorry to hear about the issues that you're having with the cookies on your device, I know it can be confusing, but I'm happy to look into this for you. 

 

While this isn't a known issue, I appreciate you trying all of those things. I would suggest reviewing your phones privacy settings to make sure that nothing has changed in the back end of your phone as well seeing as how it is not an issue with the app.

To be clear, this issue is only affecting the Nest app. I’m very curious why you say this is not an app issue. I am in a continual loop telling me to log into my account, then telling me cookies are disabled (when they are not). This only happens within the app.

 

I have seen several other posters sharing this over the last several months and none have been given a solve. If it’s not a “known issue,” it should be.

Yes… nothing had changed in regards to my privacy settings for the Nest app

Thanks, Garrett. I’m familiar with this and have ensured my cookies are enabled on my browser. This is ONLY affected my Nest app. I have no issues with other apps that require cookies.

 

The issue I am running into is that when within the Nest app, I was signed out automatically and am now prompted to log in to my Google account… and when I type in my email to log in, it tells me cookies are disabled in my browser (while within the app)… yet cookies are enabled in my browser settings.

 

I see a bunch of this issue across the web (including this forum) but have yet to see a solution. Here’s an example:
