Error: Authorization code failed

Hello,

I've been trying to connect ewpe app to nest hub 2. My region is Spain. I keep getting the same error "Authorization code failed".

I've reset the hub, ac wifi and reinstall google home app and ewpe app but still encountered the same error.

All devices and apps are connected to same wifi network too (2.4)

Any idea how to fix it?

Hi @Atat,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you're experiencing some inconveniences with your Nest Hub device and the Ewpe app. I'll be happy to assist you.

Have you tried connecting the Ewpe app through the Google Home app, as indicated below?

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Devices > Add > Works with Google Home.
  3. Select the device maker from the list.
  4. To complete the setup, follow the in-app steps.

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Anders

Hi @Atat,

Thank you for the update. Since you are experiencing the same inconvenience, I recommend trying the process with a different mobile device, while ensuring you are logged in with the same account.

If this does not resolve the inconvenience, I recommend contacting Ewpe to seek a solution.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Regards,

Anders.

Hey @Atat, I also encountered this issue. I tried it on both my iphone and android device and both failed. But in my android device, after receiving the “authorization code failed” error, I clicked the back button on my phone, which led me to an Ewpe in-app browser in my google home app that asked for my login details. I signed in and it successfully linked! Hope you also have an android device and this works for you!
