File naming convention?

JohnC1

What is the file naming convention for the downloaded MP4s for event video clips downloaded from the Google Home app on Android? For example, the event was captured 5/25/2022 about 1247 PDT and the downloaded clip, on the smartphone, is named "1646685403.mp4". I thought perhaps a Unix timestamp but that doesn't seem to "line up" with the event's timestamp.

Ditto what John said. There are many of us who need to download a lot of files and have a actual "capture time" timestamp on them instead of having to write it all down. I was hoping the naming convention was UTC but it isn't. And I don't see any meta data that has it? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

@Jake

Have you accepted this datetimestamp-as-file-name item as an enhancement request? When will it be available?

Hey JohnC1,

I have provided your feedback to our Team, as we are always looking to improve our products. I do not have a time frame on when an update will come out that would add this feature. We will be sure to update our users on our social channels, so please be on the lookout for the next update there.

Thanks Brad. File name with UTC would be great, but so would the ability to simply add date/time to the video stream itself as an overlay.

@Brad

Just to be explicit, my requirement is for datetimestamp as/in the filename (not reedfly's overlay - that's a different requirement).
