Because you have lights setup in the app, you can't remove the lighting tile.

I’d encourage you to also send this feedback directly to Google. You will not receive a response, unless Google need more details from you, however the team are still reading the feedback.

Thank you for the quick response. It seems an odd "default" for the favourites page when all the lights are already in the Devices tab. For me Favourites would be a selection of devices and actions I use regularly with one-tap control.
