Hello Community,
Up until the most recent Google Home App update i was able to click on my Lock Icon in the Home app and Lock/Unlock my front door Schlage Encode Lock but with the recent update when i click on the Lock icon all it does is take me to that devices settings page ?
What am i missing ? I tried removing and re-adding the device with the same result ?
Thanks,
Pete

Hi pasta1234,
Thanks for visiting the Community.
Appreciate you for doing those steps. Could you try uninstalling and reinstalling your Google Home app? Also, try rebooting your phone.
Keep us posted.
Best,
Alex

Hi pasta1234,
Thanks for the update.
When you mentioned you tried removing and re-adding your device, did you mean by unlinking your Schlage Encode Lock account on the Google Home app? Also, are you getting the same result using a different phone/tablet?
Best,
Alex

Sorry for the delayed response.
On several phones (pixel 6 and pixel 6 pro) part of our "home" after removing the app and relinking the door lock still goes to the device setting page upon clicking it.
An intresting observation is on my Google nest hub, it shows the lock graphic (old style) and when I click it, it allows me to lock/unlock.
Something seems off??

Hey pasta1234,
Thanks for the update. Have you tried unlinking your Schlage Encode Lock on the Google Home app? If so, could you try resetting your Nest Hub to see if you'll get the same result?
Kind regards,
Alex

As mentioned already i have removed the app from the phone and relinked several times.
On my phone as well as my wifes, the google home app is unable to see the status of the lock and or change it.

Hey pasta1234,
Appreciate your efforts.
Could you please provide us the Google Home app version, firmware version of your Google Nest Hub and the make and model of your lock? Also, if there's a chance you can get in touch with Schlage Encode Lock support if there's any update on their end as well.
Keep us posted.
Best,
Alex

Hey pasta1234,
Thanks for the additional information.
Can we also have the brand and model of your lock? Also, have you had the chance to contact Schlage Encode support for additional information about the integration of their device with Google Nest display?
We'll be waiting for your update.
