Google Home Find my Phone suddenly stopped working

Becky_A
Community Member

My Google Home previously worked easily to find my android phone. I use it all the time. For no reason, my Home device suddenly is replying: I can only help you find your phone if you have notifications turned on in the Home App.

1. All notifications are allowed. 2. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Home app.  3. I've turned off/on both phone and Home device. 4. I've uninstalled Google Home device and reinstalled. 5. Do Not Disturb is off and though I use it all the time, this has never been an issue. 6. I've turned all notifications off. Turned off phone and device. Turned everything back on and allowed every freakin' notification there is. Russia can read my phone.

Please help!
