Google Home Update Frustration

So I have in the preview program for quite a few weeks and loved it. When the final release was set free I opted out of the preview to default to the standard general version. I have the latest iOS and the latest GH release 3.1 but I am locked back in the old version.

If this is a phased roll out how long will it take?

It's genuinely frustrating to go back, especially when it comes to matter support.

Per comments from other customers, Google Nest seems to be controlling the rollout from changes on their servers. We updated to the latest general iOS release a few days ago and nothing changed. So I suspect one day we will suddenly be updated without notice when Google Nest flips a switch on their servers.

Still no sign of the announced update. Do I have to do something at this end?

Hello d-j-c.

Sorry to hear that you haven't received an update for the Google Home app. I appreciate MplsCustomer's help here. A few questions: what country are you located in? What is the specific iOS version of your device? Do you have the same issues with other phones/tablets?

Please uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app on your phone to make sure you get the updated version of the app.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi
