Hey Rheanarama,

Chiming in to ensure everything is covered here. To confirm, are you trying to check the network where your device is connected? If yes, please visit this link or follow the steps below to see the WiFi information on your device.

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap the device card of the preferred speaker or display.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings > Device information > WiFi. The WiFi network listed is the network the device is currently connected to.
  4. To change the WiFi network, tap Forget > Forget network.
  5. Go back to the home screen.
  6. Tap Add.
  7. Tap Set up device > complete the setup steps.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Rheanarama.

Sorry about the issues you're having with the Home app. To make sure I'm clear on what is going on, you're tapping on the WiFi icon and you're not seeing access to any settings at all? Is this something that used to be there and has now disappeared, or were you never able to see it?

If you can give me a few more details, we can get this worked out together. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

- Jeff

Hi Jeff.
I can’t even see the wifi symbol to click on. I open the Google Home app and I see my home and all my devices. I’ve looking in settings, I’ve looked in my account area, I just can’t find the wifi symbol anywhere.
Thanks for your help

Hi, Rheanarama.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. We have seen this before, and usually one of two things fixes it. First is to clear the app's cache and restart the app itself. If that fails, go ahead and uninstall the app and reinstall it. Don't worry, your settings are saved to your account, so as soon as you log in, the info will still be there for you to access. Go ahead and try those and see if either one clears things up.

Thanks,

- Jeff

Thanks Muddi, I see that.
sorry for the confusion, it just definitely was not as easy as the instructions on the web of “open Google Home, tap wifi”.
Thanks again, all sorted
