Google Home app - Can't add music provider

On iPhone XR running latest operating system and latest version of Google Home app, the option "More music services" doesn't appear. Only option is YouTube or "no default Provider".  I have Spotify premium and am signed into in on the same device on same wifi.

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that the 'More music services' option isn't appearing in your Google Home app on your iPhone XR. I appreciate your efforts in taking those steps before. I'm happy to help you! 

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • Are you currently participating in the Google Home app Public Preview program?
  • Could you please tell me what language your iPhone XR system is currently set to? 
  • Do you have another device, like another phone or a tablet, where you also use the Google Home app? If you do, would you mind checking to see if the 'More music services' option shows up there?

No, I actually haven't heard of the Google Home app Public Preview program. My phone is a 15 not XR (my mistake in posting).  I had read about the language trick, so changed it from English (Canadian) to Australian.  That didn't help so I switched it back.  In both cases it did not help.  My wife has a different iPhone and her google home app is the same as mine (no option for music provider).
