Why is that this app is so buggy? Every time I go to use the stupid app it always tells me my devices are unavailable or offline when clearly they are. This is every other day. Either that or it's always something went wrong. Why is the app so freaking buggy. It is utter garbage. Never had this issue with Amazon Alexa. Might be time to drop this trash Home.

Had problems with Home, also, and posted here. No help but I did get told what to do (which is what I had already done that didn't work) and then asked several times by "experts" to detail the problem. I did and got back the same canned series of ineffective steps. ("All you need to do is select this option" THAT OPTION DOESN'T EXIST!) I finally just gave up after Google moderators closed the chain without any solution. Yeah, Home is trash and Google doesn't seem to be interested in correcting that. Good luck!

Lol I'm in the process of switching to Alexa Home. Just about all Google products are trash

I've not had problems with their hardware (admittedly, the only ones I use came from Nest) but their software packages are garbage, especially UX. I totally bailed out of Google Pay because it was so buggy and intrusive and downright bad, and Home doesn't appear to be any better. I want it to do 2 things that Google insists are there, but that the Android version flat out doesn't have options for.

Hi folks,
Thanks for posting in the community and apologies for the late response.
I'm sorry that you had to go through this and don't give up on it yet. Rest assured that we'll take your experience as feedback. We'll learn from it and deliver a better experience in the future. Could you provide the Google Home app version? Also, are you enrolled in the preview program?
Keep me posted.
Best,
Nikki

Nikki,
I'm running Google Home app Version 2.62.1.15 downloaded from the Google Play Store online to my Galaxy S9+ running Android 10.
I'm not enrolled in any preview programs.
One additional item - I've found that my inability to send invitations to family members in order to add them to Google Home depends upon their email address. If it's a 'gmail' address, it works. If it's any other address (ok - I only tried 2 others), it just hangs after email entry and does nothing. Not everyone in my family is on gmail because some of us have had email addresses longer than Google has existed.
And in addition to the actual nonfunctionality problems, the app's UX is not very good at all: it's inconsistent in places, choices are sometimes confusing, and is incomplete in interfacing to networked items, especially in actually dealing with a network.

Most everything Google lately is trash. They apparently fired all their Techs or got abducted by aliens because nothing works, including Photos. My storage is set to high capacity, full run. And every image I downloaded to my PC got condensed to kb garbage. NO real support on any of their plats. Time to dump them for a reliable system.

NOTHING in Google community or the photos is working. Funny how you inquire if I have any further questions, not to sound rude, though you're probably doing your best. The whole Google has gotten to be a joke in case. Just visit the review forums including Reddit, to read all about it. I finally transferred my photos to Drive.
