Google Home says there's no compatible devices from LG Thinq but my TV is

I bought a LG TV (50UR78006LK) and I linked it with LG ThinQ app. When I try to Google Home, it says there's no compatible devices in my LG ThinQ account. This TV i bought is Google compatible, as shown in the link below, so I don't know what to do.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there!

It sounds like you're running into a compatibility hiccup between your LG TV and Google Home. This can be frustrating, but we can work through it together.

To start, please verify the following:

  • LG ThinQ App: Ensure your TV is correctly added to the LG ThinQ app and that your account information is accurate.
  • Software Updates: Check for updates on both your LG TV and the LG ThinQ app. Outdated software can sometimes cause compatibility issues.
  • Google Home Setup: Make sure your Google Home device is set up correctly and that it's able to discover devices on your network.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, you might want to try:

  • Unlinking and Re-linking: Disconnect your LG ThinQ account from Google Home, restart both devices, and then reconnect.
  • Factory Reset (Last Resort): If nothing else works, you might consider performing a factory reset on your LG TV. This should be a last resort as it will erase all settings.

Additionally, you can try reaching out to LG and Google support directly for more specific troubleshooting steps. They might have information about known compatibility issues or recent updates that could be affecting the connection.

Please let me know if you need further assistance, and I'll be happy to help!

Best,

Brandon,
