I have had Google Home controlling Vont Smart Lights at home for about 4 months. This was working without any difficulties, and the smart lights could be controlled from the Google Nest screens or from my Google Home app.
This morning, I was unable to control the lights from either Google Home or the Google Nest screens, however, they continue to be controllable from the Vont app on my phone.
I restarted the Wifi Network, rebooted my phone, unlinked the Vont app and relinked it to Google Home, but the problem persists.
The lights show up in the Google home app, but the app cannot control them. Google Home is still able to control other devices, e.g. the Roku. And the Vont app is able to control the lights. So the lights are working, the network is working, and both the Google Home app and Vont app are able to connect to devices through the network. So presumably the problem is in the interface between Google Home and Vont.
This is not just a convenience issue. My mother is elderly and has mobility difficulties, and I am currently caring for her. The smart lights are essential so that she can turn on the light before she gets up, and does not have to stumble across a room in the dark. Getting the smart lights working again ASAP is a potential safety issue for her.

So I was just chatting with Vont Home support and it looks like there's an issue on there side causing the problem. They said they expect to have it fixed within 24 hours.

Bump.
Having the exact same issue. This morning was fine then I tried a few minutes ago and nothing. I have about 25 other devices linked and they all work, just Vont devices don't respond to Google Home.

Thanks. I also sent a message to Vont Home support, but have not heard back yet. I will wait to see if the fix goes in. Thanks for the info.
