Google Mini cannot complete setup

My Mini has been working for three months with out issue. However, recently power went off and Mini now says that I must connect to Google Home app. I do this yet Mini continues to not work. I have tried to reset and set it up again but I keep getting an error message. Any suggestions?

We're sorry for the trouble this may have caused you — let me help you out.

 

A few questions: are you using a public or private network? Also, are you using an Android or iOS device?

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  • Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router.
  • Toggle the Wi-Fi off and on from your phone.
  • Reboot your router and Google Home Mini to refresh the connection.
  • If you're using an iOS device, make sure Local Network Access is turned on for the Google Home app.
  • If you can still see your Home Mini in the Google Home app, try removing it from the app.
  • Uninstall and reinstall your Google Home app.
  • Using a different phone might help too.
