Google Nest Home Settings wont load

I'm trying to go to my settings page in the Google Home app, but everytime I do, I get a "couldn't connect" response with a retry button. I've cleared my cache and data, restarted the app + phone, and nothing has fixed it.

I'm ultimately trying to connect my nest doorbell with my echo show, but I can't get it to automatically alert me, but that's a whole different issue.

Same issue here for a month now

My spouse and I recently each got Pixel 9 Pro's and we both see this issue in the home app now. Going to try setting up a new "home" as mentioned above.

I have the same issue on the Pixel 9 Fold after trying to setup the nest 4th gen. Kept going to a blank screen after the setup steps. Settings in the Home app refuse to connect. Uninstalled/Reinstalled 5 times and restarted the phone each time. Nothing works.

Every other section of the app works perfectly, except for Settings. I've tried rebooting my phone, disabling both Wi-Fi and mobile data, but the issue persists. Has anyone experienced this or know why it might be happening?

Same issue, Xiaomi mi 10t pro 5g and mini

Factory reset mini, still can't connect error when going into settings

Suddenly my Settings tab is working now. Didn't really change anything.

After refreshing Settings numerous times, it did load the page. I was able to make changes but not right back to "couldn't connect"

Yeah, now mine is back to "Couldn't connect"

I just checked, and it's working! Thank you!

You got me excited, but checked and still not working for me 😞

Aww, I'm sorry!

Thank you! Yes just checked and it's fixed and working.

Hola.

Hi AyYoyito,

Thank you for reaching out to our community.

I'm sorry to hear you're seeing an error message while attempting to view your new Google Nest Audio settings that states "speaker is unavailable" or "not showing up on this network." Thank you for sharing the troubleshooting techniques you used to connect your Google Nest Audio to your WiFi network. Don't worry! I will gladly assist you in troubleshooting this problem.

To provide you with better assistance, please answer the following questions:

  • What is the distance between your Google Nest Audio and the router?
  • Is your Google Nest Audio currently linked to a 2.4 or 5 GHz WiFi network?
  • Besides your router, do you have more access points to your WiFi network?
  • What mobile device are you using to set it up? (Is it an Android or iPhone?)
  • How far from your Google Nest Audio is your mobile device when attempting to set up your device?
  • Is there another Bluetooth signal available?
  • Do you have the latest version of the Google Home app?
  • Have you tried to set it up with another mobile device?
  • Is your Google Nest Audio visible in the list of devices in your Google Home App?
  • Could you please check if there are wireless interferences like walls and floors, nearby Wi-Fi networks, other electronics, cordless phones, baby monitors, microwaves, Bluetooth devices, and wireless video equipment?
  • Are you using a WiFi network or a hotspot?

Thanks for your kind attention; I will be looking forward to your answer.

Sincerely,

Virna

Everyone here has did the 101 process on trying to fix. This is an hardware issue. When trying to view activity history we get the error and can't look at the history. This also goes for selecting the settings as it says error try again.

Please escalate this to the tech team to fix. These are on Android.
