Google Workspace and Nest

Since Works with Nest is going away. Did Google finally allow Nest Thermostats to work with Google Home that uses a Google Workspace Basic accounts?

i.e. Using my Google Workspace account can I say 'Hey Google, raise the thermostat"?

Thanks for posting here in the Community. We still recommend using your personal Google account when migrating your Nest account to Google or signing in on the Google Home app. Google Workspace accounts are accounts set up by businesses or organizations to access different Google business productivity tools. At this time, you can't use a Google Workspace account because the account data is managed by your organization.

This is an old account my wife and I have used for years, so the account is used by us. This there an alternative to Nest that we can use with our account and Google Home devices? I thought some of the Amazon devices could use any email accounts?

I understand you want to use an old account, but if you use a Google Workspace account, you might encounter some problems when it comes to setting up Google Devices in the Google Home app, especially if you are going to install a newer Google Nest model device. We really recommend using a regular Gmail account for Google Nest.

Which I think is the point to my question. I use Google home and assistant quite a bit. My lights, tv, music, thermostat and more.  I don't want to switch account after all these years. If Google home or assistant isn't the right product, or if it is just Nest then what product works with my Google Workspace account?

Hey there, 

If you are going to use your Google Workspace email to migrate, you will encounter some error messages during the process of the migration or even when signing in on the Google Home app. So technically, the app will not let you complete the setup process using a Google Workspace email.

This is a serious bug as many small business owners and individuals rather have their own domain email address rather than gmail.   Please provide feedback as this is a good reason to migrate off of Google Home to a competitive product that offers more flexibility.
