Google voice on samsung 8 series

I have been trying to set up the Google voice assistant and I scan the qr and even tried the website and entered in the code and I keep getting the same error message. Can't find device make sure they are on the same wifi

 I've reset my TV, updated all apps, reset my mini, made sure I had all apps downloaded on both devices. Factory reset my modem, added the 5 and 2.4 wifi and tried them both

 I'm at a complete loss outside of hard resting my phone which I don't want to do and idk if that would even resolve this

I would suggest visiting our Google Assistant Forum and writing to them there as this is a question that they would be able to help answer.
