Hello, is there a way to stop the music with the routines?

Sorry if something is not understood since I am using Google Translate

Hello, I have a Google Nest mini and I am exploring the routines and when creating one to leave the house I ran into a problem. Normally I always listen to music at home so I tried to create a routine so that when I activate by voice the routine of leaving the house I turn off the music but I couldn't find a way to make it work it always comes up with the phrase "sorry I didn't understand you" so I would like to know if there is any way to make it work.

Beforehand thank you very much 😄

Hi there!

Thank you for using Google Nest Mini.

Currently there isn't a specific function to stop music directly withing a routine.

However, there are a couple of workarounds you can try.

  1. Pause all audio: You can create a routine that, when activated, pauses all sounds on your Nest Mini, including music.
    1. Create a new routine: Open the Google Home app and tap on "Routines".
    2. Add a trigger: Choose a voice command like "Leaving home".
    3. Add an action: Tap "Add action" and select "Media controls".
    4. Choose an action: Select "Pause" and then choose your Nest Mini as the device.
  2. Play a different sound: You can set the routine to play a short sound when activated, which will effectively replace the music.
    1. Create a new routine: Follow the steps above.
    2. Add a trigger: Choose a voice command like "Leaving home".
    3. Add an action: Tap "Add action" and select "Media controls".
    4. Choose an action: Select "Play media" and choose a short audio clip (like a sound effect or a short announcement).

To create a routine, open the Google Home app, go to "Routines" and follow the steps to add a voice command and an action.

Hope this helps!

Brandon.
