Home away assist conflict with Nest

The presence sensing of my Nest thermostat isn’t working.   Within the nest app, when i turn on use phone location,  it disables it in the Home app. Within the Home app under presence sensing, it will say "you're using this feature on another phone", and if I change it by selecting "switch to this phone", it will disable it in the nest app.

Turn presence sensing off in the Nest app. Now use the home app to run routines to have the thermostat do what you want.

Thanks for that, I will try it. But will Nest send me notifications when I’m out, eg if it senses motion on one of my cameras. If I’ve turned off presence sensing in Nest will the Home app send them. In the Home settings the only notification option seems to be for thermostats not cameras.

I understand that issues with presence sensing can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
