Home won't remove from Nest app

Hi. I have two homes in my nest app. The one with no devices on which I have renamed X allows me to 'Remove Home' from home info setting. When I restart the Nest app after removing the same home X is back again. The other home does not have the removal option so I assume that is linked to my Home app. How do I remove home X permanently please?

I’m sorry for the delay and I appreciate your efforts here. 
 

Here’s how to delete the home called home X in the Google Home app:

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Switch to the home you want to delete.
  3. Tap Settings > Delete this home > Delete.

Hi JT. Thanks for the response.

I only have the one home in my Home app. I can see two homes in the nest app. I can remove the home called X from the Nest app but it reappears when the nest app is restarted.

Thanks for checking that for us. Could you uninstall and reinstall your Nest app and sign out from the app then sign back in. Then, let me know how it goes?

Hi JT,
I have tried what you suggested by removing home X from nest app, logging out of nest app then uninstalling nest app. When I reinstall and log back in home X is back again!
 
Any other suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Hi, having trouble sending as screen shot. If I reply using Gmail with attached screenshot I get :

Address not found

Your message wasn't delivered to # because the address couldn't be found or is unable to receive email.

I can't attach images in the web view as errors when attaching.

To describe, at the bottom of my nest app I have two home tabs, one labelled home and one labelled X.

Hey there,

 

Thanks for your efforts. Kindly follow the steps below to upload the screenshot:

 

  1. Click Insert Image. 
  2. Choose an image source location. 
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Also, you can tap the "Drag and Drop" option. Maximum attachment is 5 MB.
